The temperature probe is made from food 304 grade stainless steel and is safe to use as a BBQ accessory,  suitable for all kinds of meat. The stainless steel cable can withstand temperatures up to 718°F (380°C) and the temperature probe can withstand temperatures up to 1000°F.

Stainless steel cable is 4.1 feet (1250mm) long.
Probe is 7 inches (178 mm) long and has a probe tip to R angle of 6 inches (153 mm).
